Shaw Pipeline Services continues as the industry leader with our proven HDUT Technology providing “state of the art” mechanized ultrasonic testing technology for the complete inspection of pipeline girth-welds. Whether the welding technique being utilized is Gas Tungsten Metal Arc Welding (GTAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) and Submerged Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Shaw Pipeline Services has an inspection solution.
Shaw Pipeline Services continues to work closely with the industry (operators and contractors alike) to develop inspection and process control techniques that exceed traditional inspection specifications, as well as engineering critical assessment approach to weld evaluation and defect sizing. These inspection techniques allow for rapid inspection and feedback to the welder thus allowing tighter controls on the welding process to reduce weld repair rates for the project.
With the introduction of HDUT, technological growth continues to be key to Shaw Pipeline Services’ success. A “Total Weld Inspection” philosophy includes weld examination using focused probe technology augmented by Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) techniques utilizing phased array technology which is also augmented by TOFD. And, if dictated by a specific project requirement, incorporating our proprietary focused probe technology creating the Hybrid Phased Array system.
- Incorporates High Definition PE, Phased Array and TOFD
- Flexibility to meet our clients changing needs
- Multi-Channel data acquisition system
- Interface directly with inFocus software
- API-1104 Compliant
- IP67 Compliant
- Designed to meet high temperature/high production environments
